Page County Three-Day Release Fallback
The Page County Sheriff jail page has no verified rolling 72-hour release view. It does not publish a three-day archive, release fields, update schedule, retention promise, or booking-photo flag. RSW Regional Jail also has no verified Page-specific three-day release filter. The absence changes the task from browsing a list to documenting events across a precise period.
Begin by defining the date and time range. Include the start and end time, not just three calendar dates. Next identify the physical custodian for each person or booking. Page County Jail may hold the person locally, but Page also uses outside beds. Central Virginia Regional Jail has current support in Page's fiscal records, while RSW has documented historical Page contract use. Do not assume which jail performed a release without a current record.
Check Page County 72-Hour Releases
A three-day review should preserve the order of events. This matters when court action occurs on one day, jail processing ends the next day, and an online system updates later. Follow the custody record from the start of the requested span through its final known destination.
- Write the exact three-day range and list any known names, booking numbers, birth dates, and Page court case numbers.
- Ask Page County Jail which facility held each person during that span. Redirect the request when an outside jail created the release record.
- Ask whether the custodian maintains an existing release log for that range. If not, request each named booking and release entry rather than demanding a new report.
- Compare local or regional jail events with Virginia VINE, which covers Virginia local and regional jails.
- Review Page court entries for bond, dismissal, sentence, or later orders. Use VADOC only when the destination or sentence places the person under state authority.
The Page County 24-Hour Release List route is better for a same-day question. A three-day process is built to catch events spread across multiple work shifts or office days, not to produce a live roster.

A transfer should stay in the date-range record because it ended custody at one facility, but it must not be counted as return to the community. Home electronic monitoring and work release likewise permit community activity while controls remain. Classify each event by its actual disposition and destination.
Page County Weekend Release Checks
A three-day range can bridge a weekend, holiday, or office closure. That does not mean Page County publishes a weekend archive. It means the request can cover the full period while office confirmation comes later. Use actual timestamps when available. A court order entered before a weekend may not equal the moment a jail completes identity checks, property handling, bond processing, transport, or release paperwork.
The county's FOIA guidance says its response clock begins the day after receipt and excludes weekends, holidays, and closed days. That rule governs the records response, not the custody event. A person may leave custody while the administrative office is closed. Call booking for immediate status, then use the written record path for proof.
When the range spans Friday through Monday, search both Page General District and Circuit Court as the case requires. A felony may move from a preliminary General District proceeding into Circuit Court. The order helps explain the basis, but only the facility record confirms when jail processing ended.
RSW Cannot Prove Page Releases
The RSW JailTracker interface shows reported current custody. It is not a release archive and has no verified 72-hour window. RSW's member localities are Rappahannock, Shenandoah, and Warren, though historical official records document Page contract detainees. A Page charge alone does not prove current RSW placement.
If the locator shows a match, note the query date and call to confirm the custody status. If the person disappears during the three-day span, contact RSW Booking at 540-622-8620 or 540-622-8683 and Records at 540-622-5024. Ask for the actual release or movement entry. The answer may be community release, return to Page, movement to another jail, or VADOC commitment.
Roster absence has no fixed historical meaning because RSW publishes no verified release-retention period. Vendor caching, record updates, spelling, and movement can all affect a result. A saved screenshot may document what appeared at one moment, but it is not a certified release record.
Request Page County Three-Day Records
The Page Sheriff forms page identifies FOIA Officer Major Stevie Owens, telephone 540-843-3348 and email sowens@pagesheriff.com. A completed form may also go to jstanley@pagesheriff.com or be delivered to the Administrative Office at 108 South Court Street, Luray, VA 22835, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sheriff says a $6 service fee may be imposed, with added charges possible, and ordinarily states five business days subject to legal exceptions.
First ask whether an existing release log covers the stated three-day period. Virginia FOIA generally gives access to existing records; it does not require staff to create a new list or conduct analysis. If no log exists, narrow the request to named people and booking episodes. Ask for the booking sheet, recorded release date and time, disposition, releasing facility, and destination or receiving agency.
Request electronic copies and an advance itemized estimate. If the agency says another jail owns the record, ask it to identify that custodian. Save the form, delivery proof, estimate, payment, response, and any exemption citation. This documentation is more useful than trying to reconstruct a three-day history from a changing roster.
Page County Release Case Context
RSW states that charge-related data was removed from its locator beginning July 1, 2026 under Virginia Code ยง19.2-392.5. Its notice directs readers to Virginia Court Case Information. Even for a current RSW record, custody status and legal case context now require separate official channels.
Use the Virginia Judiciary case-information system to find the Page case. General District Court handles misdemeanors, traffic cases, and preliminary felony matters. Circuit Court handles felony trials, appeals, and circuit records. Note the case number, disposition, sentence, bond action, and later orders that fall within or near the three-day range.
A dismissal in one matter does not rule out another case, warrant, or detainer. A detainer is authority or a request for another agency to receive or keep the person. Compare the court record with the jail's destination field before describing the event as community release.

For a named person whose last facility remains uncertain, the Page County released inmates lookup follows the broader custody-type decision tree. State and federal systems should be added only when the record points to those authorities.
Note: A three-day review is strongest when the release entry and one independent official source agree on identity, event, and destination.
